Getting accounts reinserted

Is it a difficult thing to get accounts reinserted back into your credit reports?

For some reason, 2 positive accounts were deleted from my Eq report, and the age of the accounts (7 years and 8 years) would be very valuable to my credit scores(i think, who knows:) EQ Must have deleted them during my credit clean up and disputes.

Has anyone called their creditors and had them reinsert tradelines? Should I expect a tough time to get them reinserted, or is this a common thing?

    Thanks,
    gracie

    So far
    1 charge off gone
    1 collection gone
5 60 day Student loan pmt lates gone
2 30 day CC lates gone (goodwill)

Total FICO increase on EQ, 30 points, go figure. Im sure they took a whole lot more points when they inserted them, they sure didn't add em back when they deleted.

I did this awhile ago, so I don't know if it would work, but:

I disputed a 30 day late with Toyota, and the entire tradeline disappeared. I was late that 1 time.

It was about 7 years old.

I called Toyota, (playing dumb), and said. 'I recently pulled my credit report, and noticed that my paid account with your company has not been reported to the agencies'.

In 1 month it was back.

The bad part, the dumb 30 day came back with it.
    ;-(

I've decided to leave it alone for now.
I have other things to worry about now ;-)

Congratulations on your success so far ;-)

Thanks manequinne...I guess I will call Ford Motor Credit and SunTrust Bank and ask them to reinsert these tradelines. Good thing I was never late on them so I don't have anything to worry about in that respect. Sorry about the 30 day coming back to haunt you, but it sounds old, so i guess it shouldn't have that much of an effect.

I am still having a hard time believing my credit score increase since these disputed tradelines were removed. All those derog's (collection, chargeoff, major lates and minor lates w/ cc's) only got me back 30 points! Seems like the collection alone should be about 30 points. Same with the charge off. O well, the clean up so far has been killer. Seems like my disputes are all going great, with progress on each time. My reports are slowly getting cleaner, and I am left with just a few derog's giving me a tough time. I will get them deleted, just have to speak with the right person.

    Thx again,
    gracie

By the way... I think my FICO's broke.

When I dispute accounts on Equifax, my score never moves. I notice that when others dispute on EQ, their score doesn't take into consideration the disputed accounts, and they get a temporary boost.

Anyone else in the same boat as I am? I am planning on disputing the few derog's left during the Thanksgiving/Christmas onslaught of disputes. I would like to see a temporary boost in my scores, just to know what I am looking at if they go away! I have only 4 accounts with derogs left on EQ out of 16, but my score is a dismal 537. If they all go away with my last dispute, I am clean on EQ! Maybe a clean report will get me into 600 land.

This is my last post to you, I promise. LOL ;-)

I have noticed that scores stay the same also.

I understand about getting rid of alot of stuff, and only getting about 30 points out of it.

I hope you do get to 600 land. It is a nice place to be!!!

Fico isn't broken, it's cukoo, crazy, insane and needs to be locked up forever ;-)

You get 1 point at the beginning of the month, so in (537-600) 63 months you will have it if nothing else gets deleted. Ha ha ha ha.

Seriously, it's a looooong process, but it is so worth it.

Christmas disputes: Christmas is such a long time away huh?

    Good luck.

The crazy thing about this whole repair thing is that even though those collections and chargeoffs are totally detrimental to your report, they also give you credit history. The older the collection, the more weight.

At least this is what I've noticed and it's been talked about on the board. I'm just happy whenever one of them gets off. :)

Thanks for the reply again manequinne...:) I have learned so much on this board and appreciate all the info/feedback/words of encouragement I can get. So please, reply at will, as many times as you wish!:)

I have looked at many reports of posters from other boards as well as this one, and to be honest, my report is VERY clean comparatively speaking. I have seen BK's, tons of collections, tons of chargeoff's, tons of 90 and 60 day lates on single reports, and their scores are HIGHER than mine! I dont get it. I had a couple of minor setbacks, and have a collection on my report less than 300 bucks(don't know what for, validation process is going on right now and haven't heard anything from the CA), and my score is about as low as I have seen. I have tons of positive tradelines, but my credit usage is about 80%(11,000) which will disappear when my next bonus check comes...just waiting til november:) O well, time heals all wounds, so I will be patient, and persistent to get the rest of those derog's off.

I just hope when christmas comes they will accept my disputes, I've disputed a few items more than once over the past two months.

also, for some reason on each of my reports I have random accounts that never reported bad way back when...so they look like positive TL's, they are just inactive accounts that say PAYS AS AGREED , no lates or anything on them.
the only positive thing I have in my FICO stuff is
"you demonstrate a fairly long credit history'
funny thing is, that positive sentence didnt appear until I got my score over 600
before that it was 'you have too many negative factors, please see the negative factors section' or whatever.

I would not dispute them if they fell off, as they'd surely add them back with full negativity, or at least they'd try to.

gracie, i've noticed that high credit usages + 1 or 2 derogs hits your FICO harder than a BK and/or more derogs. I think it's because they're afraid you'll file BK. Someone who has already filed BK is a known quantity, and also there's a waiting period before they could possibly BK again. But if you have high credit usage + derog, they view you as teetering on the edge, ready to plunge into financial disaster, regardless of the real situation. You should see a big boost when you are able to pay down some balances.
