I have a question. Has anyone had any success in getting approved for a credit card with a judgement. I don't really need the credit, I just want to get away from providian. But the end of August, my credit reports should read with my judgement being satisfied. And also by the end of August I will have no debt either. I suspect that on Exp and Efx my scores will be in the 700s. The judgement is over 5 years old. Any advice. I want to close the providians and get a prime card.
Last year I had judgments about as old as yours showing on all 3 reports and I was approved for Citibank Platinum Select, and Amex Delta. Have been happy with both...

I had EQ score of 690 and was approved for Target Visa, Household MC and Dillards. This was with 2 BKs, a judgment and tax lien! Of course, with the help of this board, the judgement and tax lien are now gone!
