Stupidly, before I knew much about credit reports, ratings, and scores, I signed up for a card or two simply to get a free gift. I never activated these cards, but when I checked my credit report yesterday (free from CreditExpert.com), I noticied a few cards I never activated. Do I want to get these entries removed, and how do I go about doing this? Thanks.

You should check on the status of the accounts first. I bet they're still open, just inactive. Not activating doesn't mean you don't have the account.

Yes, as I mentioned they are inactive. Now what should I do?

Either re-activate them - or close them. To re-activate, call the CCC, to close, send a letter. How long have they been there? might be to your advantage to keep them if you don't have much credit history.

Well they have low credit limits and though my length of credit usage is short, I have used my credit cards extensively in the amount I have had them. I think I'll close them up. Thanks.
