Fuba, You should be aware that there is 3 scores to keep track of. Lenders pull from different Credit reporting agencies and it varies. There is a list in the Creditnet INTROS that keeps track of "Who Pulls What?" to help determine which score you would most like to improve and are interested in. The "best" way is to keep track of all three. Get individual or all three at www.myfico.com Go to the Equifax, Experian, or Transunion sites and order them there. They also offer other yearly plans that includes a certain amount of scores. At www.privacyguard.com you can get a Transunion score for a dollar and credit reports if you cancel before 3 months.[/list=A] Gretchen
The privacyguard scores are not true fico scores. They are fako scores. Although privacyguard is great for seeing your reports daily and getting a vague idea of how your scores are doing, it just isn't the real score and it can be off by quite a bit. With the yearly plans, Equifax gives the Fico score and they have no fakos. Experian had creditexpert which allows you to pull your report daily but again, it is a fako score. Transunion has a buy 3 get 1 free deal on your report and fico score. And as stated above, you can go to myfico.com and get your reports and REAL scores for all 3 for $12.95 each.
LKH, Ah,,hah! So I have a FACO score! Not bad for a buck and for getting my credit repair feet wet. Although, I see no reason not to go ahead and cancel my PG membership at this point. I found the PG disclaimer. I do not where I picked up that it was from TU though. Thanks, Gretchen
