I want to get a credit card for my 18 year old son. I'll cosign but I want it in his name to establish his credit. Any thoughts/suggestions on the best cards or approach?

Capital one has a good starter card for college and high school kids. Chase and Citibank also have college cards with rewards. You can visit their website, read about it and apply right online.

I agree with the school cards if your son is still in school, and you won't have to co sign!

If your son is no longer in school then try with one of the cards you have and make a joint application with him as the primary.
