I just got done reading posts about CROSS COUNTRY BANK at Planetfeedback.com. Is this company really as bad as these people make it out to be? I have had an account with them since July, and have not had a problem yet. Am I in for a surprise?

They charge a HUGE APR (over 20%). Is it possible to get this lowered with this company? How about waiving the $100 fee everytime they offer the tiny $350 increase? Anyone know if these increases ever get larger than $350 at a time?

    Thanks

Cross Country is only as bad as you let them. Pay your bill on or before the due date (preferrably with an online payment service to avoid delayed posting). Don't go over your credit line and planet feedback them for increases, don't fall for their $100 charge for a $350 credit line increase.

If you do as I outlined above, they are fine. However, pay your bills late, go over limit or pay via their payment service and fall for their outrageous credit line increase offers and you will get the royal screw treatment.

They obviously are catering to a below subprime customer that not only is financially and credit challenged, but not very well informed on their options.

I am sure Cross Country makes a tidy profit on all of the fees they charge to the uneducated customer.

DO THEY REALLY "INCUR" $100 OF EXPENSE WHEN THEY INCREASE THE CREDIT LIMIT???

How can EVERYBODY (CITIBANK, CAPITAL ONE, CHASE, FLEET, BANK OF AMERICA, MBNA AMERICA...ETC) not charge for credit limit increases???

$0.34 is about all I will pay for an increase!!!

I might pay $100 for an increase...BUT it would have to be >$30,000...
