How do I get rid of the Open/Current, was past due 30 days as the status?

Write a nice letter to the OC asking them to remove it in good faith, see if that works, but don't admit to paying it late say you were unaware of any late payments. That way if the OC refuses to remove it file a complaint with the BBB

You might request a statement from OC for the month being reported. When asking dont tell them why you want it. Request in writing.

When they respond you may get a letter that says
"We dont have a statement for July 1999, our records only go back 3 years"

If this is the case you may be able to get a delete from CRA.

Only use this method after a goodwill letter fails. If your a good customer goodwill is the way to go.
