Does anyone have any feedback on the GM card? I just got approved for $1000 limit (pinch me!). Don't know yet who they pulled, I'll find out tomorrow when I do Privacy Guard.

Since you got GM card you should try for corvette card too. Both are from Household

they monitor all three of your reports looking for excuses...
    to change your interest rate
    to lower your limit
    to screw you!

I took a small beating from them after their repricing scheme. But kept the relatively high limit($5000).I paid it off and kicked it to the sock drawer.( It did help in rebuilding my credit and came in handy upon closing for my first home)

Oh, boy. I'll be very careful, then. To be honest, I just need more available credit and more chances to better my credit, and I don't/didn't care who approved me. Sad, but true.

I have had the GM Card since 1998. With the 5% rebate on purchases, I will soon have $3000 toward a new car. I have never had a problem with customer service, and my credit line is around $13,000. Yes, they do soft pulls on your reports, but they are not alone in this. I am very satisfied with the value of the card and the services I have received. In addition to the credit limit being increased, my interest rate has been steadily decreased upon request.

    • Got it with $3,500 LOC, had it for about year and a half. paid it off. Had no problems with them, the account was listed by all three CRAs.

Had them for about a year now with 5k CL... no complaints or problems and they report to all 3 CRAs

I had them for about 2 years. They determined that I wasn't paying them enough per month on my balance and jacked my rate to 23.9%. They refused to lower it. And that is the only reason that I ever received from them on why it was raised. So the account is closed now, I still have a few more months before I'll have them paid off.

I got the best buy card with a 3000 limit so I decided that I would go ahead and apply for other household bank cards. I got approved for the GM Plat card it was only a 2000. limit which was fine with me. I got some special where I could do balance transfers at 0.00 for six months or something along those lines. So far I havent had any problem with them I have heard bad things about house hold as a whole but I really havent had any problems. I applied for the corvett card and didnt get it, but I did get the mastercard that you can get if you apply for the best buy card. that came with a 300 cl. Becasue of the small limit I decided to close the account. But to answer your question GM Card has been pretty good so far. And from what I understand they pull Equifax only. My score on equifax was 688 at the time I think. I hope this helps.

I've had the card for about 6 months - no problems - easy account access as well as payments online. The 5% does add up quickly if you use the card to charge everything.
