my father passed a few years ago before the trailblazer was paid for. i the son called and faxed a death certificate to gmac and told them that i would keep the truck and pay for it. gmac was fine with that. gmac changed the account from a ret acct to an estate account with my name being the the person to talk to. i would call with a question and they would answer it no problem but here recently gmac changed the account from an est account to a cac account. i called and inquired about this and gmac was unwilling to talk to me because they did not know who i was. i inquired about what cac was and nobody knew... i hope that there is someone out there who can tell me what cac stands for... est and ret are simple but what is cac and why did all of a sudden everything change?

Is this something that is reflected on your credit report? I have never heard of it before in all honesty so I will presume, no. If it isn't adversely affecting you, I wouldn't necessarily worry with it. However, you can write to their corporate offices and they are actually pretty consumer friendly.
