I just got my new gmcard in the mail today. It has a 4k limit. Does anyone know if they will pull a hard inquiry if I request a limit increase? How likely am I to get a limit increase on my first day of having the card? I don't really NEED a higher limit, but I'll take what I can get.
mattg554, Last year, I request limit increase for my GM Card and they pulled hard inquiry on my Equifax report. A couple of days ago I request limit increase without hard inquiry and just did account review. They approved me $1000 increase on my GM Card. Ron.
Ron, thanks for the info. I currently have a couple of items in dispute on my Equifax report (the one they pulled), and I think they're going to drop off after the 30 days are up. Once that's over with I guess I'll try requesting a higher limit. Did you have to specifically request that they didn't do a hard inquiry? Matt
Matt, yes, I specifically asked limit increase without hard inquiry. I told them No Hard Inquiry and I 'm going to borrow money for GM cars. (it is excuse not having hard inquiry). Ron.
