Planet Feedback has helped me once again get a better rate on my credit cards. As I previously talked about, I got a GetSmart Visa Classic card with the 23.99% interest rate. I wrote to PFB griping about the high rate. Today, I received an e-mail from them, notifying me that they would lower my interest rate to 19.99% as a negotiation! I know it's not a lot, but from what I've heard about Providian's boneheaded operations, I was surprised. So, my advice is to any other Providian Cardholder with interest rates they think are too high is to write Providian through PlanetFeedback. I need to write Planetfeedback and let them know how much I appreciate them helping me get better rates! I've had 2 of my 2 comments result in lower interest rates.
excellent ... I love planet feed back, how long did it take to get a response? I just received a getsmart visa with a $1,000 limit, I asked for $750 increase just to see what will happen. Using card for travel.
Which one did you get, the classic? I was surprised that they would drop the APR right off the bat on their classic card. 23.99% is just outrageous, and my credit is better than that. So I guess I am getting the rate that was shown for the GetSmart Visa Gold Preferred. I wish they would just upgrade my card to the gold, because I am at the rate of the gold now. Oh well, if I can't get the interest rate lowered by them in 3 or 4 months, off to PlanetFeedback I go!
