At least I think.. They were reporting my student loan twice..once in good standing..once as transferred/government claim filed. That second one was hurting me. I faxed a copy of report to sallie mae stating that they were harming me with this inaccurate information. They have a login where you can email back and forth and I received a notice today stating that I was receiving a letter stating that they were updating with the credit bureaus. They apologized for the delay in responding..(since last Friday). So, if I'm reading this right..this is one less issue. Had to share!
Does acct transferred/sold actually hurt your score? Sallie Mae has a bunch of mine listed that way, and they are duplicates as well.
No..but it said "Claim filed with Government" also and was listed in the negative section..and this was totally untrue.
