we have a thread about companies that loan credit after bankruptcy, but i thought one was needed for companies that respond well to goodwill letters to remove late payments or bad histories. the only one i know of is greenpoint credit. please add your experiences!
Jenz -- I just had a conversation with Household Taxmasters / Imperial bank and although they reported it incorrectly (120+ for a 5 week wait for repayment - long story), they were legally (I guess) in their right to post a 30 day. I phoned the recovery dept and explained the issue and they first offered to take it completely off right then and there and when I asked if they would instead change it to a + TL with no lates and remove the "closed by grantor" she was more than willing. Maybe it was due to most of it being their error.. but.... I was glad it was so easy. Shanyl
