I want to send off some goodwill letters. If I could just get some lates off my report, I would be in much better shape. Who should I send the letters to? Customer service? A vice president? CEO? Should I pfb or should I send it snail mail? Thanks!! Gillian
I would send it to their credit reporting department, if they have one. They should have someone (or a department) that is responsible for reporting credit information, that's where I would start.
I sent all of my goodwill requests to the v.p. office or corporate office. I went online to find this info. I also called and asked the c.s.r. and she couldn't and wouldn't do anything. I asked for the corporate office info. Sent the Goodwill letter and they called me then sent a follow-up letter and all of the lates (30&60) have been deleted from all bureaus. I sent a letter to the address listed for BofA and they sent a letter saying that they would not delete 1 late pay from 1997 from 2 banks ago. (it was Barnett then bought out by NationsBank then bought out by Bank of America) I checked my cr and it was deleted from 2 cras and 1 it still remains. When they updated they changed my monthly pymt from $285 to $775!! I would send it to the corporate office. They do not want to be bothered with our (the consumers) requests. BofA was the only company that I didn't send the goodwill request to the corporate office. And they were only one who refused to remove the late pay. I recommend using the corporate office.
Beta... I'm in same boat as you. I've got 2 lates from 98 after BofA bought out Barnett. TU and EXP are not showing any lates. EQ is the only one and I've asked for verification. No word yet. I did call their customer (non)service department and was sent a letter. In it they claim that they won't delete the lates from EQ. What did you say in your Goodwills? I'm looking for a form letter, but can't find one. Smitty If it hurts the first time... DON'T do it again!
