July 19, 2003 Bank of America 100 North Tryon Street, 18th Floor Charlotte, NC 28255 Tel: 888-279-3457 Fax: 704-386-45786 Regarding: Account Number: xxxxxxxxxxx Dear Sir/Madam: I am writing a letter about my experience with Bank of America that is a mixture of a grateful "thank you" and a pressing request concerning a Bank of America trade line in my credit files that I would like to see revised. I believed that we have a long lasting relationship. I have been your costumer since xxxxx. I have two checking accounts with Bank of America. (Account numbers xxxxxxxxxxxxx). If you look at my checking account you can see that I deposited every single penny that I made to your bank, and paid all my bills and loans using these accounts in the last decade. This account (xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) is being reported to the credit bureaus in a most injurious manner. Consequently, I have found it to be most difficult in obtaining credit because of this past problem. I am told that I must live with this for seven years. I do not feel that this is fair and it does not truly reflect my current credit worthiness. We are about to shop for a mortgage, and it has come to my attention that the negative notations from Bank of America may preclude me from full advantage of the very lowest interest rates now available. Since those notations do not reflect my current status with Bank of America, I am requesting that you give me a second chance at a positive credit rating by revising those trade lines. Your customer service representative suggested that I write you for a goodwill adjustment. I request that you re-evaluate my credit rating. You have received all monies which were owed to you and feel that I have paid long for my mistake, in many ways than one. I have paid three auto loans with high interests due to this negative trade line. I am hoping that this explanation will persuade your company to restore a favorable crediting rating in the connection with this account. We all deserve a second chance, don't we? Please indicate your decision on this letter and return the signed original to me. (Please hold a copy for your files.) I will then notify the credit bureaus of your authorization. [ ] Change my credit rating to "Paid Satisfactorily" (Removing any negative status information). OR: [ ] Delete the account completely from any and all of my credit profiles. Your name: ___________________________ Title: _________________ Very hopefully yours, Name Address Fax PS: I sincerely hope that there is redemption at Bank of America and I beg you for such consideration. Please let me know if any additional documentation would assist in reaching a positive outcome, and I thank you again for the time you have spent reading this letter. ------------------------------------------------------------
