I sent a goodwill letter pleading a positive adjustment on a 30 days late 2 years ago. My CW notification shows new description on TL: Sears XXXXXXXXX AUTHORIZED USE 04/1997 11/2002 Revolving PAYS AS AGREED $450 $0 11/2002 Prior Paying History 30 days past due 01 times; 60 days past due 00 times; 90 + days past due 00 times; CONSUMER DISPUTE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION CHARGE The old description read: Consumer dispute following resolution, Amount in H/C column is credit limit Are they trying to say something to me here ? " CHARGE " meaning use the card which I don't want to cause I have already paid off what I owed ? Anyone seen this b4 ?
No, I think that it's a card-type designation. Our Sears tradeline has a "CHARGE" underneath it, as does my old Fingerhut account tradeline. Sears store cards are "charge" cards as opposed to "credit" cards. Charge cards you can only use at the place that issued them, i.e., Sears. Credit cards you can use anywhere that accepts them.
