I decided to start a new thread because the old one went to some kinda of different discusion about law suits and $$ :)

All right, I GOT THE LETTER!!

To remind you all, I wrote goodwill adjustment letter becasue of late payments on the Associates National Bank Mastercard which has been closed for over a year now and paid off in Nov/2001 and got the following reply:

    Dear XXXXX,

We have received your request to change manner in which the above mentioned account is being submitted to the credit report agancies.

Upon review of your account, we have determined that the current and past due account history is being reported accurately.

    Citibank

I think I got them. PAT, have you figured out how to proceed in this case?

Fortunetely, they report incorrect (different) information on all of the credit reports.

Would anybody know what should I do next now?

    Thanks!!

Write them and try again. That attempt failed, it seems.. Try a planet feedback... I was able to get a charge-off removed using this method..

Wouldn't it be better to form some kind of case based on reporting "INCORRECT INFORMATION"?

We talked about it before and PAT thought that this could be a way to do it.

They are suppose to report CORRECT information to the credit bureaus right? They are not doing it in this case (reporting different lates to different credit bureaus) get it? :)

    Anybody?

I would send it via PFB but I'm scared that they may finally update it to all of them and they I would loose my case.

I was successful in getting negative info removed from Citibank using Planet Feedback. The regular representatives did not have a clue. They just kept telling me different things. I would give it a try...
