Got Amex BT checks but no auto LOC increase available Would be interested in any thoughts on the following - I also got the amex balance transfer cheques offering LOC increases up to $10,000 on my Blue account if I did a BT. If I check my account online, however, and request an online LOC increase there's no auto increase offered (just the "please fill in this form to request an increase" which I understand is the polite way they tell you not to bother asking for an increase at this time). Current LOC is just $6000, all scores north of 700, no derogs. Any idea what's going on here? Best regards
DON'T KNOW...I FINALLY GOT MY "GO-TO" REDUCED TO 9.99%...NO CREDIT LIMIT INCREASE 2.5 YEARS...NO LOW BT RATE!!!
Re: Got Amex BT checks but no auto LOC increase available In order to get your credit line increased you need to use the BT checks that they sent you if not then your credit line won't change.You have a 4K inrease to your credit line if you use the checks also keep in mind that if and when you do use the checks leave at least 150.00 left on your credit line to allow for a BT fee if any plus any interest that is charged by the ADB method.I hope this helps you out.
