I just got my $5000 citi AA and today my Gold AA came for $6000!!! My score dropped to 601 today due to new tradelines.. thanks citi!

Sam, How long have you been working on your credit? Where do I go to dispute all my negs/derogs. I read in an earier post you dispute everything then apply. How do I do that?
huh? I will probably combine later! I'm finally at the point where i can close all my subprime cards!! Come monday, i'll probably close about 8 of my accounts now. All i can say is all the hard work i've done and all the tips from folks here have payed off. I've got $15000 in credit, buh bye subprime cards. Folks, take a tip, citi is back on a roll. This approval was not "instant" either..
congrats sam, so how many citicards do you have now? And btw where on the website is the link to apply for a gold card? I don't see it.
I have 3 citi cards, a 8 month old Platinum Select, a 2 week old (AA -> Dividend Platinum select) and now a AAdvantage gold card!! Just follow through the card selection till you see the plain old Silver Card and the Plain old Gold AAdvantage cards. not the "world" not the Platinum cards. I strongly suggest if you have any major derogs, to get them in "dispute" mode before applying. My score has never been over 620 on equifax on every approval! Good luck!
Thanks sam, I think it was after reading one of your previous messages that I gave it a shot. I now have a aadvantage card. It wasn't instant either. I then applied for a platinum card. I really don't think I'll get approved for that one. I would have applied for a gold card but could not locate the application. Oh Well can't be to greedy. lol btw I just rechecked the citibank website, I really don't see a option to select a gold card application.
I log onto www.citibank.com and hit apply, I don't see anything next to the aadvantage cards. NOTHING. what going on?

Thanks Sam, I had trouble finding that link as well...CiTi has some cryptic logic to follow the links. Applying soon I'll let you know. Since the fees are the same, what is the difference between World AA and regular AA card. Is it tougher to get the World card? I mean - I read their site, see the differences but it is unclear ya know? Why would you apply for the $50 regular AAdvantage card instead of the $50 World AAdvantage card? If they reject me for the World card, will they consider me for the regular one? (so many questions) -Peace, Dave
DON'T APPLY FOR WORLD CARD. Start with AAsilver...then AAgold...maybe even same day. Others have combined two or three accounts together... Later on you can upgrade to CITIBANK PLATINUM SELECT...

People on this board have had better results applying for MORE CARDS...instead of asking for a LIMIT INCREASE...
