I received my Equifax report today. I'm still looking at it to figure out what's what. I also got a sample of an Oil of Olay product to try out from something I entered (haven't got a clue what it was!). Hubby got his pin from Orchard. And solicitation for some type of term life insurance. OOOHHHH! And Home Depot basically said "Sorry Charlie" it's been too long that my account has been closed and I'd just have to reapply if I wanted thier card again. Well, poo-poo on them. Oh well... I was hoping to feel that plastic square in the mail today but nope. Maybe tomorrow!
Oh my....Oil Of Olay !!!! Perhaps the "magic square" will come tomorrow;you will not miss Home Depot either(you can use your other major credit card for shopping). I often "flash" my AmEx to them to show them I have a choice(since they declined me....but have JCPenney/Exxon with Monogram Bank). They are the first to be cancelled($225 bal w/Exxon & $1,300 bal w/JCPenney). No new charges since they declined my for Home Depot back in 7/2001. Sister Girl
Oil of Olay...Maybe the manufacturer should have called it Oil of Delay...might sell better...Is that stuff any good? No good mail for me, just a monthly statement from CapOne and a few catalogs. Donna
It's real good, but about $18 a bottle. "Sudden Change" does the same thing and is less than half that. Or get some Clinique and a free gift when they do their promos. They do keep sending you samples, though I've gotten 3 so far.
The mail..... DMB, you may recall, increased my credit line to $8,000. Well, today they sent my second $3,000 "convenience" check - at cash advance terms, LOL. Additional material for lighting my first fire of the season (maybe this weekend - cold front coming). If I can't go to the beach I love to sit by the fire and toast my toes.
Girlfriends bikini's came FedEx today......WOOHOO!!!!. Bad part is she won't be home until 8 o'clock to try them on for me 8-( Going to Cabo San Lucas two weeks from today, can't wait. Seven days in the sun and surf.......Breeze, you can appreciate that I'm sure. -Om

I don't think you would be denied a city or gov. job due to a Bk. I don't know though. I work with securities and you can be denied jobs in that industry due to bad credit.

My ex boyfriend got a Pre-Approval for Providian Gold w/ up to $1k limit w/ no annual fee, 23.99% apr, no grace, etc. He gets offers from Providian to my address all the time since I was AU on his Am/Ex and the statements came to my house. Next is Discover sending my mother who passed away in 4 years ago an offer for their Platinum card, 1.7% intro apr (13.99% after), 2% cashback bonus, no annual fee, 25 day grace, 2-cycle billing, etc. I wish they would stop wasting paper. Guess I gotta keep the post office in business! ;-) Finally got BT check from Citi for my down payment I had to come up with to re-finance my car. Better hurry and get to the bank!

Re: MP$40 ???? Thanks! Everything has been going smoothly but I've notice that my credit card debt as gone up slightly over the last month or so. I did a lot of traveling in August which required a lot of spending unfortunately. That's o.k. I've learved a lot about finances (especially from this board) and I know how to manage my money. I'll be ok. .....time for those cold ones now! :-D
The hooker camp at OLAY... I haven't had much luck in lovely Las vegas other than hitting 2 royal flushes in 4 hrs at Bellagio for $5K. You know the first thing I thought after I won the money? "PROVIDIAN, I only put in $18 bucks and you and your $700 balance are GONE."
