its a platinum plus card, nice beach scene on it.

activated and registered it. mbna said the card is suspended until friday or something, and my cr line shows : Cash or Credit Available: $0 (Suspended)

i guess thats to keep the conversion process smooth.

Aye, 3 mbna's now (ebay, quantum worldpoints, acf worldpoints).

sadly the ACF worldpoints dont merge into the quantum worldpoints, they are separate.

    :(

Suspended and 0 avail credit...That is what my oldest MBNA card(closed by them) say when I log in.
    Beware!.

I have not received mine yet. I´ll let you know when I get it.

    Geo,
I don't want to apply for any more MBNA because I'm afraid they're going to split credit line to open new account like they did to my brother.

yup - just called MBNA - and my new card is on its way too.
asked about cl - and its the same as it was with ACF - 15K.
The last time one of my cards was bought by a different company - i also got a cl increase - but maybe that will come with time.
Never had MBNA before - from what i've read here - i guess i'm gonna have to watch em carefully...

I have the MBNA PLt. Plus card since Nov/2003 and so far (knock on wood) no problems.

Their website is pretty fast and has yet to go down, unlike Amex.

Payments are posted in a timely manner. MBNA did change my billing date but I have a bad habit of checking online almost everday so I was not caught off guard.

    Best regards,
    Mirage

    Sam,

I don't have any problem with MBNA. One of MBNA Platinum Plus Mastercard was formerly called Netscape Card from Citibank USA. They changed into MBNA Platinum Plus Mastercard. I activated and registered on-line and no suspension. It just work fine. I have been paying for the account for two billing cycles and they even mail me 1.7% BT checks today. I don't have any problems with MBNA Qauntum World Points MC, Elite Rewards Platinum Plus Visa. I paid it on-line and post it next a couple of days.

Convert from Netscape Card from Citi to MBNA Platinum Plus Mastercard:
NO SUSPENSION and they increased $600 more to my credit limit.

Ron, I didn´t want too. The problem is that my AC Federal Bank card is now issued by MBNA. So I am forced to take MBNA again.

    Geo,

Yes, I understand now just like Citi sold their Netscapecard card portfolio to MBNA. I don't have any choice and now I have three credit cards accounts and one Apple Credit Account with MBNA.

Call me crazy - but i could have sworn that there wasn't supposed to be any change in terms after ACF was replaced by MBNA... well - the apr for purchases and cash advances remained the same - 9% - BUT - MBNA charges 3% - up to $75 - on cash and/or bts.
I could have SWORN that the letter a few months back regarding the changeover - indicated that ALL the terms remained the same...
Any former ACF cardholders happen to remember?

Well... my old card had a 13.9%. I hope that the APR will be reduced to 10.9 or less as promoted on their web site.

Does the account number change on the new card?
