This has to be the coolest card ever. You can see straight through it. It's neat, you can put it up to different things and it looks funny. Anyway, on to the important stuff. I got my card and the paper says 12.99% fixed. Whoa buddy, it was supposed to be 9.99% fixed. The person who told me my card was approved told me I was approved at 9.99% fixed. I called the customer service line and got this snotty punk arse kid who told me that I was approved for 12.99% and that if I didn't like it I could cancel. Naturally I told him that if he said another word, I would make sure he lost job and then proceeded to ask for a supervisor. Well the supervisor must have been his mother. Same attitude and basically said that 12.99% was the APR and there was notihng I could do about it. 2 questions: 1) Is AMEX customer service this bad? If so, I may run now while I have a chance. 2) Anyone have a good number I can call to work on this? 12.99% is not going to cut it for me. Thanks!
Re: Re: Got my AMEX Blue in the mail today Will, do you think I should just call that number and tell them that I was supposed to have the 9.99% rate? Is there anything specific I need to do or say that would help my cause? Thanks!
Re: Re: Re: Got my AMEX Blue in the mail today I would try to be NICE and explain what happened and if they keep it at 12.9 ask when to call back for better rate.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Got my AMEX Blue in the mail today I have been FIGHTING for 2.5 MONTHS to get BLUE reduced to $1,000 and make DELTA GOLD $14,500!!! (THIS IS NOT A LIMIT INCREASE) HAS NOT HAPPENED YET AND I DON'T EXPECT IT TO HAPPEN ANY TIME SOON...so don't HOLD YOUR BREATH...YOU WILL TURN BLUE AND PASS OUT!!!
Re: Re: Re: Re: Got my AMEX Blue in the mail today Will, how long did it take you to get from 12.99 to 7.99? I am going to try to call, but I would assume they are closed today.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Got my AMEX Blue in the mail today Not a prayer. They were open and that took 30 seconds. She said that I called the wrong number, I need to talk to new accounts. She said your account has to be established for years in order for that department to offer you anything. Oh well, I guess I am either going to have to cancel it, or just get stuck with the 12.99% fixed. What a bummer. Anyone ever try PFB on AMEX?
Re: Re: Re: Re: Got my AMEX Blue in the mail today I still have NEVER got a limit increase in 3.5 years...(EXCEPT THE "FAKE" $300)...never works...SAYS SOME ERROR MESSAGE... Took over 2 years to get the 9.99%!!! They kept on saying I didn't qualify...or the "ACCOUNT" does not qualify??? I said...CAN I GET A DIFFERENT ACCOUNT NUMBER THAT DOES QUALIFY??? NO!!! PFB was the way I got the 9.99% Or was it the SNAIL MAIL Or was it the EXPRESS MAIL to the CEO Or was it the E-MAILS (10+) Or was it the PHONE CALLS (10+)
Re: Re: Re: Re: Got my AMEX Blue in the mail today George, Did they even bother to respond to the PFB?
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Got my AMEX Blue in the mail today I forgot to mention the 4 or 5 FAXES... 1-800-337-9555 is the number I called to get 9.99% down to 8.99% But that is the same number that said "I DON'T SEE ANY 7.99% AVAILABLE FOR YOUR ACCOUNT"
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Got my AMEX Blue in the mail today They straight told me, no way. She laughed and asked me how I got the number. I laughed and said, "noneya".
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Got my AMEX Blue in the mail today Weather it was 6 months , try calling new accounts and asking for what you were promised and tell them to increase cl please. let us know.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Got my AMEX Blue in the mail today Two years ago when I had the Blue card I was able to get a $500 CL increase using the automated phone system. Then I let the whole thing charge off. Perhaps too many people like myself that got charge offs right after a CL increase has them spooked.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Got my AMEX Blue in the mail today I choked on my potato chip when I saw this!!! LOL!!!!
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Got my AMEX Blue in the mail today Will do, first thing in the AM when they open. I'll let you guys know. I also sent a PFB and got the automated response that they would answer it in 1-2 business days, so we will see on that front as well.
