WEll After something like 7-8 months with credit protection associates I finally filed a lawsuit a month ago and today I got my $1000 settlement check in the mail. Monday I will go and dismiss my suit. I also got my letter from conseco. I did an investigation on my 3 conseco accounts with experian and they said conseco never got back to them so they deleted everything. Conseco said no way they always notate the accounts if an investigation comes though and now I have a letter from conseco stating that experian never even did the investigation like they were suppose to. Stupid exp liars. Now I have letters from conseco, best buy, and target stating they are sending correct info and experian is the one screwing it up. Federal court here I come. We all know exp does not do their investigations and now I have proof. hahaha

    Congrats on the check!!

And the proof on EXP. I've said before that I always suspected. When accounts come back deleted on TU and EQF reports and verified on EXP... or the details change and yet EXP can still verify the old wrong info??? Something's not right. Maybe a lawsuit will do them some good!!

I was just reading your posts and this is strange I sent off dispute letters to all 3 CRA's because of duplicate accounts one company had me listed as seven different accounts many of them duplicated to make a long story short EX deleted the four false ones EQ deleted 3 but TU has said they re-verified and would remove nothing. sent TU a second letter and get there form letter back stating I had acquired the services of a Credit Repair Agency so they would not do anything with the last letter they got from me 2 dispute letter so yesterday I filed a law suit in Small claims court on TU, so just wanted everyone to know that EX was the only one to remove the false accounts.

I had a huge paper trail- about a dozen faxes of which they ignored all of them. I also wrote to the texas attorney general- they ignored them also. I sent tons of intent to sues, validation letters ,ect. I even wrote to their officers and got ignored. When I sued I only put for violations of the fdcpa and fcra. They sent a certified letter asking what my account# was. I also sued for 3k. I called and talked to the name on the letter and when she asked what I wanted I told her I would settle for 1k. Since this was a smaller amount she said they would just send out a check without it going to an attorney which would probably have cost them 1k just in fees. they had their chances but I gave them a very easy way out. It would have cost them alot more than 1k to fly roundtrip 2 times, pay attorney fees, food, wages, and hotel 2 times. If you have any CA nailed to the core, especially for a debt that is not yours, give them an easy way out(in a relative $1000 term). I am also very blunt and truthful in my letters. I let them know exactly what I will do and I do it.
