I had an account being reported by the OC and a CA. The amounts reported were the same. I called the OC and they said they had no record of me. I immediatley disputed on-line with TU and EQ. Got TU results - deleted! EQ results still pending. However like a dummy I didn't dispute the CA TL at the same time. Can I dispute now with CRA by saying CA is trying to collect for an account that was just deleted and how could they collect for something that the OC says doesn't exist? Or should I go the CA validation then CRA dispute route? Also got 2 other derogs deleted from TU during this round. Just little accounts - $189 charge off and a 30 day late. They were very old, but not bad for a swim in the baby pool. Just got green cards back from CA's on the really bad ones. Thx for any advice
Before disputing the CA with the CRAs send a validation letter, this will keep them from verifying the account before they can provide the validation, if it takes 30+ days to get the validation, it gets deleted, unless they violate, either way, you win.
