I had a BK discharged in July 2001. Sherman Acquisition popped up on by CB file December 2002 for one of the debts discharged a year and a half earlier. CB file shows a Status Date and a Date Opened on Sherman's Trade Line as both being December 2002. Twice (Feb and March 2003) Sherman verified the debt as still owing to CB in writing. Now, the attorney for Sherman is trying to tell me that Sherman acquired the debt in June 1999. If so, then they re-aged the account with a Status Date of December 2002. So, I am suing Sherman for either posting a false trade line under FCRA if they stick with the December 2002 acquisition date or a violation of FCRA for re-aging if they stick with June 1999. Either way I am suing them, and expect to turn it into a Class Action. I am not the only one they did this to, so let's get em. Let me know if you have been victimized by Sherman in this way. Flyingifr@yahoo.com It felt so good to tell Sherman's attorney "Pick your story, fact or fiction, I don't care - I'm suing you anyway."
