a frickin place that would never remove or not validate a dispute has just added another sub 20 dollar collection on my report from who knows when.
guess i should mention the details. this was a $15.00 medical collection, for a copay I never knew anything about. I tried Why Chat's HIPAA letters with payment, eventually I got a letter from the OC stating they've 'reviewed the account and will not be deleting it'. so, i figured there wasnt anything to lose and I called the OC and very angrily told the person on the line I wanted to speak to the legal department. She said she could not forward me to them. So, I told her to record or type out what I'm saying, she agreed. I told her: 'I have a form from the courthouse in my hand ready to file that shows at least 2 violations of federal law, and 3 violations of state law. It will only cost me $30.00 to file it. I will be filing my lawsuit against your company on Monday if I don't get word that this item is going to be removed from my credit reports by Friday (I gave them 7 days). Don't bother calling me otherwise. Since this item is paid, I have absolutely nothing to lose other than a bit of money, which is fine with me.' Low-and-behold Friday (7 days later) I get a vmail on my home phone from the OC stating the item will be removed asap, but it might take 30 days. Saturday (the next day) it was gone from my reports. Very interesting considering a CA that the OC employs put the item on my reports in the first place..not the OC. that was quick, but very annoying to have on my reports for almost 2 months. That wasnt an idle threat though, I seriously was going to file against them. Really didnt have anything to lose aside from a few extra dollars. Thanks Why Chat for enduring my questions.
