Great Mistakes

In the past I've had some dealings with credit cards and credit where mistakes were made and there was a great benefit to it. For example I applied for a gold card for the golden1 and I hadn't filled all of the paper work correctly and so the account had to be processed separately and I had to submit additional documents. Anyways when I finally did get the credit card IT NEVER CHARGED ME INTEREST for about two years until they changed the computer system! Also recently I got my Florida drivers licence and they spelled my name wrong on it, so when I applied for my cell phone recently I let them copy my drivers licence and I didn't give them my SSN. Now three months later after they have mailed my bill to the wrong address, have charged me fees that were supposed to be waived and the phone is crapping out on me, I feel like I'm in the drivers seat because there is zero chance if I don't pay my bill it will end up on my credit report(my current address on my credit reports is in another state).
So anyways all of this was making me wonder if there were other ways to cause as it were "forced errors" I'm thinking along the lines of say reporting a credit card lost and immediately disputing the credit card account while it is in transition.
What errors have other people had that ended up being beneficial?

I won't even bother touching on the morality of this, but what you are suggesting is fraud, illegal and not something the average person would want to get caught doing.

Plain and simple, what you're suggesting is wrong and immoral. We're here to making CA's and CRA's obey the law, not to break it oursevles.

You misunderstand me. for example by disputing an account for a credit card you lost I mean by saying that the account is wrong because it is closed (which it is) while your credit report says otherwise. I am simply wondering about mistakes the companies make themselves that can help you. The citibank back door double is a good example.

If I were to add the vowels to your user name it would be slippery slope, yes? Combine that with the information of the post...

I think there is a big difference between the Citi BDD and what you have described in your first post.

We have met the enemy, and it is YOU !'
Morality is not what you can "get away with" it is doing what is right BECAUSE it is right. Like returning the extra change when a clerk makes an error, or correcting credit card and drivers license errors instead of taking advantage of them. You make Gulfstate look like Mother Teresa

If it looks like a troll, walks like a troll, and smells a troll, IT'S A TROLL! Some people just have too much time on their hands.

I cashed a check for $1,000.00 and she gave me 11 brand new $100.00 bills...I could have kept the $100.00...but that is not the "RIGHT" way to make money...

My wife went to the grocery store and bought groceries and they "RAN" the credit card for $100.00 too short...I went the next day to give then a charge for $100.00...

    I'm not PERFECT...but I try my best...
