I just got approved for a green from amex and I already have a blue, I initially thought I would cancel my blue, but would it be a good idea to keep my blue open for big purchases where I need to carry a balance and still use my green like I planned to as a debit card for everyday things? What do you guys think? Reason I got the green is for the double points for everyday stuff instead of using a gas card. Only other cc's I have are Chase plat and a old cap one from college which is my oldest so i charge on it 1 time a year to keep it open and a Best Buy card. I also have an auto loan for 18,000. I have a FICO of 767, is this starting a good credit future for a 21 yr old? Any advice welcome, thanks!

oh yeah, and was it stupid to go for the green, if I would have been approved or I get an invitation over the next couple of months, is it worth it for the gold over the green, as far as benefits, anyone that has had these two or any AMEX experts what are the main differences? Annual fee doesn't bother me as long as rewards are worth it.

Why don't you go for the BLUE CASH... 5% rewards...

I would except becuase it is tiered I wouldn't necessarily meet the 5% until later in the year and you only get the full 5 if you carry a balance and have spent like 11,000 bucks or somewhere around there(I think). so, any other advice? thanks though.
