OK I got turned down for the Household QVC card. Was gonna get it so I could shop on TV for household goods without Fingerhut's rip off prices.

I was declined. Interestingly, these were the only reasons:

    1) Usage on current revolving accounts too high??

This is odd because at the time they pulled the EX report, I was only using 33% or less per card.

    2) Too many recent inquiries.

How is 2 from the same lender too many?

SIGH. Anyone know what their standards are so I can try again in a few months.

Last time I checked QV had a high rate. if you want to shop there just use a major credit card.

I got shot down for the Best Buy Card recently. It had an option to ask for a Household card at the same time.

Guess what I got the household gold (no annual fee) $1500 limit and $25 Best Buy GC with first use.

This is not their subprime card (orchard/blue household).

    Go figure.

    Household is goofy.

    I have QVC
I got mine when it was with Monogram Bank---Great Bank
    Now it is Household----YUK
When I received the notice of the transfer I called customer service and complained.
They have great customer service call and ask if they have any ideas on the requirements

Their are very few perks for having this card.

You actually would be better off using a regular Visa/MasterCard than dealing with Household Bank.
I plan on BT mine and closing it.

I got declined for Best Buy like in July and don't plan to try again for quite some time. Can't afford the inquiry at this point.
