Bank of America account..held since Feb of 01 .
Orginal CL 6800.. credit grant increased to 9300 and then to 12K for a new BT in December of 01.. this was after moving remaining 8.9% balance to another card for 6.4%

NEW BT 11,900 to BofA @5% (prime for life) from MBNA@ 9.9%
    current balance 10, 986.31
current interest rate prime ( 4.75%)...

Wrote letter today by BofA website.. " could you pay off my wifes's citi account of $750 at the same rate with no BT fee's?.. Just makes life a little simpler".

Make guess... yes or no ?

    NO FEE~~~answer NO

4.75% is pretty good even with the $50.00...

    SUGGESTION...

If you need to BT to 2 or 3 different credit cards with BofA...OVER-PAY (BT) the lowest amount you owe, the get a refund check...deposit it in your checking...then pay the other 1 or 2 accounts from your checking...$50-$100 SAVED!!!

George.. BofA .. was happy to assist and without a transfer fee and at the same rate.

I had my hubby call last night.. after getting a please call our retention department email response.

This move doesn't do anything to pay off anything or save interest. So why did I do it ? It only helps us to breathe a little better by knocking out a monthly payment. Now the smart thing to do would be to add the old payment of $50 to what I've been paying BofA $262.. but maybe in a month or two after I feel caught up on some other things.
