I would like to find out if Gulf State is doing this to everyone. On my credit report, there is a zero balance, but has me as being currently 120 days late. I would like to know if they do that on all accounts that show paid, or just mine. If it is their policy to report everyone as 120 days late, even if they have a zero balance, then that is a gross violation of the FCRA. I never owed this money, and had it removed from my credit report over a year ago, and now it has resurfaced. I would like to use the fact that they are reporting people with zero balance 120 days late against them in a lawsuit I will be filing. I don't need names, or any other information. I am just trying to find out if this is common practice with them.
Marvin, I had a Gulf State encounter over a year ago. The debt was not mine. I contacted Bud Hibbs at budhibbs.com. He rocks. I never heard from them again. durango
Marvin. Was this showing on Experian(TRW)? It it looks like this on the second line Current 120 and then the date.. It means that the account was 120 days past due on that date...They do it on all trades that have 30 or greater Delinquency.. It is just the way that they report it..

Thank you for you're posts. I filed the suit yesterday, and it is scheduled for trial next month. Anyone else that has any information on how Gulf State is reporting a paid account would be greatly appreciated. TY very much
