I'll send an estopple in the A.M. mail and then intent to sue letter or maybe it will go out with estople letter.

My experience... On Experian & Equifax they report a collection for Sprint under the name Gulf State. On TransUnion they call themselves OSI. I have never heard from this company. I'm positive that they have never mailed anything to me and if they have called it has been over two years ago. I'm also 99.9% sure that I paid off this Sprint account a long time ago, so I disputed with the credit bureaus. So far I have only gotten a response back from Equifax. They want me to provide a bunch of info before they will investigate. Not much help to you I'm sure but that's my story as it stands now.
I had a collection account from them from a cable company I had never heard of. I disputed with the CRA, Experian and it came back verified. I called to get OC info and they stated they didnt have to give me that information and I should just pay up. Well since it was out of SOL I sent a letter of Validation. I got a letter today stating they couldnt validate and they deleted it.
Yes , Gulf state delete your collection record from your credit file only if you hammer them very strongly like filing complain with www.bbb.org or www.FTC.gov or dept of commerce and your state attorney General or even sue them in a small or high court. But the problem with it is they reinsert the same information with different name . So you should be very vigilent and careful dealing and communicating with them ie, saving all the letter you send them and even any letter they send you as well Wish you all Good luck and wish hell to the Gulf State/Palisade/OSI and it's all crooked buddies.
Ok, today in the mail I received a letter from Gulf/Palisades stating they are sorry for the inconvenience and their "error" and it should be removed from all credit reports.
has anyone here ever been sued by OSI/gulf state? or is there game just to harrass you for ever and never follow the law???
NanaC and all of you : I received five such letters from Gulf/Palisades/OSI stating they are sorry for the inconvenience and their "error". How many times can you be sorry for the same mistake or error. You can tell they are tricky scam and con-artist. Otherwise they would not use different name to different Credit report agency for the same account. I appreciate you all discussing this issue .But it will be worthwhile taking action against these jokers. yes ,I am taking action. I am in the process of filing a lawsuit against them. I already filed complain with FTC, BBB and my State's attorney General.
