Last week i wrote here i received a letter from Gulfstate stating they would be removing the acct from my credit bureaus on their next run, they didn't mention or i did't get anything from OSI stating their two duplicates would be removed also. So today i was curious, pulled my report and as i figured the gulfstate aren't removed yet. But the OSI aren't even showing!!!! Did the bureau remove them or Gulfstate/OSI?????? I don't care who.. Now all Gulfstate needs to do is remove as their letter indicated and i'm hopefully done with that nightmare....
Backspace, fax a copy of the letter to Equifax at 888-345-9399. Say something like "please find attached hereto a copy of a letter I received on such and such a date from GulfState Credit. They indicate that they have notified you to remove the derogatory tradeline, etc. Please update this account immediately". Wait five days and if they haven't updated, send it again and put "Second request" across the top of your fax. This is what has worked for me. It took them FOREVER to delete GS and OSI from mine, but they removed it just a couple of days after I faxed them a second time. Hope this helps! L
