Happy 4th of July, everyone. As you celebrate today, take a few minutes to remember what today is about. We live in the greatest country on earth, with more freedoms than anyone else. We got here because some men were brave enough to rise up against the king. And we've stayed here though a lot of sacrifices by many people. I'm not just talking about the military and those who defend our country, although of course that's part of it. But many people have made sacrifices in many different ways to get us where we are today.
I just got back from one of the most spectacular fireworks displays that I've ever seen. I watched the fireworks over the National Mall in DC. The fireworks were wonderful, and there was lots of patriotic music as well. One of the best Independence Days that I've ever had!! I think this was even better than the fireworks in Boston with the Boston Pops playing.
