Hey friends - been back and forth the country 4 times in the last 3 weeks. Had a nice Thanks giving with my family - hope all is well with you and yours AMEX was superb - getting its largest month yet. I snapped them that I would like future spending for 10K in the last two weeks and would have lots of travel stuff. I found a couple of necessities - LOL - that I needed for these severe San Fran winters LOL! Snap - no problem. Travel, hotel, food, no problem. I snapped them the payment - which will now show the highest paid limit yet on AMEX my CRs... I called them tonight and told them that some end or year money was potentially coming in and that I thought I might put $xx in Centurion Bank - but just asked the AMEX REP that did he think I should ask for the Platinum Charge and the Blue to get my deposit - vs - another bank? I told him I would give all my business to AMEX, except keep a high limit VISA or MC as a backup. He said. "Dogman" you have an excellent history with Amex - I am sending you a Platinum Charge application now so you can take a look and read it at your leisure. Your history within AMEX certainly looks fine. AND, any bank likes the fact that it gets a good relationship customer - and you're an excellent customer. I am certain Centurion Financial Advisors can help withall necessary tools and advice. I thanked him then told him I would do something if I decide to do something. LOL! later dogman
Pretty soon I'd like to have AMEX kiss my ass too. Great work! Happy Holidays to you too. Soon, soon, it's Christmas! YEAH!
ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS MY AMEX BLUE AT 9.99% DOWN FROM 12.99%...A BT RATE LOWER THAN 12.99%...AND A CREDIT LIMIT INCREASE BASED ON TWO YEARS OF PERFECT PAYMENTS...INSTEAD OF DENIED WITH-OUT ACTION, BECAUSE I HAVE THE AUDACITY TO ASK FOR IT ALL WITH-OUT A CREDIT REPORT!!!
Hey Dogman, Any MORNING 365 days a year in San Francisco is severe weather to me(LOL)....wishing you the finest this holiday season. Sister Girl
Hey Dog! I just got back into town from LA (Tustin and Moreno Valley Area). Had a great Thanksgiving. A storm came in on Saturday that ruined our plans to go gambling at some place called Panoeche (sp?).....whatever. I was looking forward to that. Also visited the Irvine Spectrum.....lots of shops and happening places going on over there. You should definitely check it out if you're in the area. Attended one of my girlfriend's traditional Indian (the dot, not the feather) wedding. Lasted from 10am until who knows when. My friend and I left at 2:30pm after eating some HOT A** Curry Chicken that messed me up for the rest of the day! The drive back was total B.S.!! Basically a 6 hour drive with THREE HOURS of traffic on I-5 for a total of 9 hours driving time! Oh well...... I'm still steaming because on the way down my "Service Engine Soon" light came on. So I took it to the Cadillac Dealership in Tustin for them to tell me that nothing was wrong w/ my car! I guess the last time I got my car serviced, they forgot to reset some codes or something. So they basically charged me $78 (used my MBNA for that one) to tell me that. Their response? "Well....we washed and detailed your car for you"! That was a pretty expensive car wash! To top it off, it rained the next day anyway! GRRRrrrrr..... Still waiting for my Optima Platinum card. Just filed a dispute w/ AMEX on-line for a concert that never happened. That's a whole story in itself but to make a long story short......me and four friends of mine went to a concert at the Cow Palace (BIG MISTAKE.....I know, I know). Before we could get through the medal detectors (they had already took our tickets at that point)....a BIG HUGE FIGHT BROKE OUT. Needless to say we RAN back to the car. Waited for a sec then decided to leave after we heard gun shots. I'm assuming the concert was canceled (LOL!). I didn't even bother calling ticketmaster. Just decided to deal w/ AMEX. I know they've got me so.... Came home and my neighbor was kind enough to sign for my new cell phone that I got from Verizon Wireless. It's the new Motorola V.200. It is the PHONE of all PHONES let me tell you. http://commerce.motorola.com/cgi-bi...=235280&prmenbr=126&pager_cgrfnbr=13&zipcode= It was nice to be able to call Verizon up and order a phone w/ NO PROBLEMS. I was approved INSTANTLY (they checked Experian...one of my worst reports) and they sent the phone via Fed/Ex in 2 days. I was impressed! And to top it off, the phone w/ new service (had to finally KILL MCI off) was only $99 plus tax! Talk about a steal.... Happy Holidays!
I have a dodge truck that has one of those lights that comes on after so many miles. The last time it came on the dealer wanted $100.oo to turn it back off. It's still on but theres isn't anything wrong with the truck. This is a racket to drum up business for the dealers service departments:Sounds a lot like the F I C O all over again!
My sister had a car with one of those lights, the guy down the street found the "RE-SET" switch for her and pushed it, or did what-ever to it... He said it had to do with the SMOG stuff after so many miles...
