Happy Memorial Day. As jj said, don't forget the troopsl. Too often this has just become the beginning of summer. The real purpose of Memorial Day was just that--a memorial to those who have given their lives defending this great country. Let's never lose sight of that!
Went to the cemetery, and flags were on a lot of the graves.: ) I have my home decked out with banner and red white and blue lighted Christmas Tree, AND sent off a few cards to the soldiers. At our post office there is always a box with cards and info on a soldier and you can pick who you want to write to. I think it is a good thing myself as the kids are SO young and need our support. The guests are to be here shortly. We are doing salmon and chicken and spare ribs and corn on the cob and potato salad and baked beans and lots of other tasty stuff,and for dessert I made a good looking flag cake... Cheers! Woofer
