I was trying to install the Dish instead of cable at new house, and they run your credit. They pulled a hard on EQ, EX and TU!!! And to top it off, they couldnt even install the darn thing because they didnt have a line of sight!! Think I have any chance of writing them to remove the inq's..PFB?? Or do I just have to grin and bare it??? Other than B*, is there anyway to remove legit inq's??
OUCH! Complete removal may be hard, but if you make enough noise, maybe softening them would be possible. I had Citi soften an inq which they made when I applied for a RS card, when the reason they denied me is that I supposedly already had an RS card according to their system. (And to top it off, their AA letter didn't include any mention that they had even pulled the credit report, ooops... ) Yes, they had a PP, but they shouldn't auto-pull until after all of their internal checks clear the process. After a whole lot of letters back and forth (via PFB, and physical letters to OOP, and their other addresses... they finally softened the inquiry out of goodwill. *cough*
