Hi everyone...I'm still relatively new to the board, and I've been learning lots. Everyday I focus on one new item. Like yesterday it was harrassment laws and the FDCPA, day before validation... Anyhoo, you get the picture. Today it's inquiries. I have been doing a pretty extensive search on inquiries and I understand what a hard inquiry and what a soft inquiry is. However, I don't quite understand how to decipher between the two on my CR. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

The soft inquiries are segregated on your TU and Exp reports and noted as "inquiries seen only by you". On your equifax and Exp reports the soft inquiries usually have a code in front of them like prm for promo or AR for account review.

Thanks! One more question. Since I've been disputing a lot and Equifax has been pulling a lot of reports, they have themselves listed. Are these hard or soft. I'm guessing soft. Just want to make sure.
