I called to ask about a credit line increase on my GM card. The rep said they would need to pull a credit report for evaluation. I said "no thanks" since we are considering refinancing the house. End of conversation. Pulled a report through PG and lo and behold there is a hard inquiry from Household. Since I have credit with them, I am looking for the best way to have the inquiry removed.
I was inquiring about a credit limit increase...the rep. said they MUST pull a credit report...since the "COST" of a "HARD" pull was too high for me...I SAID "NO THANKS" I later found out you pulled a credit report anyway...THAT WAS WRONG OF YOU TO DO THAT WHEN I SAID "NO THANKS" Please remove the inquiry so I do not have to see you in SMALL CLAIMS COURT. They "CAN" pull a "HARD" any time they want...THEY DON'T EVER HAVE TO SINCE THEY DO A "SOFT" EVER SINGLE MONTH!!!
If they are going to do a "HARD" for every phone call...THEY BETTER STOP THE AR'S EVERY MONTH!!! THEY CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS...(or they shouldn't be able to) HAVE IT BOTH WAYS...
