yes lots of people have PFB goodwill letters with varying success. Try searching the board for "goodwill" and the creditors you plan to contact this way to see if others have benefited from the PFb experience. peace, delilah
Yes, I just did one with Fleet last month, to get rid of some questionable lates. I posted the letter here. They responded in less than 48 hours, although because of a snowstorm it took me about ten days to get the letter in the mail.
