I had an account with providian a few years ago. Right now t's being listed on my report as "Closed by credit grantor" and has seven 30 day lates, two 60's and one 90. I sent a goodwill to providian about a month ago and got a reply from them (So far the only reply to the goodwills I sent out, so I'll give them points for that, at least) but basically it says that they're under contract with the CRA's to report accurately and they won't remove the negatives. I disputed the account as never late with the CRA's last week and we'll see how that goes, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had luck with getting late payments or even the entire TL removed on a providian account. Brett, I had providian listed on all 3 CRA's and disputed them all as not mine. All 3 were deleted the first try.
That's good news... I hope it goes as well for me. Frankly, I wouldn't mind keeping the account on my report as long as the payments go away since this is one of my older tradelines. Thanks, Brett
