Has anyone used this letter before? This is the letter which shows the CRA how much trouble you've gone through to get the CA to validate (including receipts and letters) and how you've been ignored. In the letter, it asks the CRAs to delete based on all the proof you have. Has anyone had success in using this letter (or a version of it) to get the CRA to delete? Or was there still a fight to follow (i.e., filing suit)?
I'm very glad to hear it worked. It worked for me also. But the best part is, that is my letter that I asked PBM to post in the letter section.
Awesome, LKH... I've read about your successes, too. Okay, I feel a bit braver now. Did you direct it to a specific person at the 3 CRAs? I know Richman for TU, but how about the others? Or will just the general dispute address/fax work okay?
The only cra I sent it to was the local Experian affilitate here. So you'll need to do some searches here for the proper people to address it to.
I just used that letter about three weeks ago to Equifax and Transunion. Transunion deleted, still waiting on Equifax. Sent both letter and info to the regular addresses attention Complaint Dept.
