I call citibank today on our reconsideration of a credit card. They stated were late 90 days 2 times this year. HUH? We have no lates on the credit report. They stated they would call back in 24-48 hours. I jut received my eq credit report today and I have creditwatch and there is nothing on there. Has this happened to you?
Ask them if you can FAX a copy to them... Did you ask what account the 90 late is for??? And HOW could they have a DIFFERENT report???
They did ask for a copy but I said I would rather speak to a supervisor first so they said they would call. I have no clue where they got these lates unless the smokage of crack is involved.
this sounds VERY familar to me. Last year I was turned down for a American Express Green card - They said I had two collections on my equifax report, and would not issue me a card with those collections being there. Well this was very bothersome to me because NO collections had EVER shown up anytime I pulled a EQ report online or by mail. However they insisted the collections were there. I Than pulled my report thru consumerinfo.com ( a tri merge) and it showed the two collections on EQ. Why the hell they showed to Amex and thru the tri merge and not directly thru EQ I have no idea. Even when disptuing them Equifax said "The disputed collections are not currently reporting on your credit report." Well I went right to the collection agency listed thru that trimerge report - It turns out it was a old medical bill (two of them) from where I was under 18. The collection agency had it miscoded as me being the guarantor and not the patient. They QUICKLY removed them, and I got a report in the mail along with a letter from Equifax saying "The following items have been deleted from the credit file." VERY strange but im very glad their gone! sorry so long, good luck man!
Re: Re: Has this happened to you? I havnt reapplied - I have too many new accounts to reapply now. However I do plan on doing so around Decemeber. Just think I'd have that amex if it wasn't for the CA"s screw up... Oh well, life goes on I suppose.
