Hi, I am looking for anyone who has been harassed by the people at this "collection law firm" in Atlanta, GA. I have been dealing with them and found that they are violating many fair debt collection practices and possibly a few laws. I have an appointment with an attorney to file suit against them for these claims and want to encourage others to do the same. From what I have read online, I am not alone in these violations. Stand up for your rights and help shut down bad debt collection practices. If this company refuses to take responsibility for the actions of their employees, ideally I would like to see them shut down entirely. tc&t I have been dealing with these scumbags for 7 months. I just received another call tonight and I taped the entire convo - pretty sure I have about 4 violations on that one call alone. They are trying to collect a debt that is past SOL...even if it was mine. They have refused to validate. Tonight's call was to offer a "settlement" - when I didn't bite they threatened legal action. My problem is that I cannot find an attorney here in ATL to help me go after these rats. I called Lisa Wright's office but got no response. Other attorneys require a huge up-front retainer. Lisa Wright has sued and won against these guys several times - take a look at her site: stopcollectionabuse.com I would love any input on how to go after these guys. On another forum a guy talks about counter-sueing them back in 2004 for 15k and they immediately settled with him asking him to drop his lawsuit.
