Have you ever paid a CA with a credit card, especially interested in those with an agreement to delete involved?

Yes love, sorta I paid a $44 bad check, then after 4 times of disputing the Paid collection off my Equifax (they would not delete, btw). It came off this month.

I assume they got tired of having to put $ into the effort.

Paid over the phone, btw. Its safer to use a CC than to give your checking account info. They can't get a judgement/lien against a CC , kapish.

My concern is that if I settle a debt for less than the balance, they will bill my credit card for the balance, not the settled amount. If they do, I will have the settlement agreement letter in hand and can dispute it with the credit card company. Just wondering if its a bad idea...

    BTW, thanks, Sam:)

You can always dispute the charge with the CC company if they bill you for more than the agreed amount, which is why i chose this method.

CA's must follow the same visa/mastercard guidelines as any other merchant, and it is a VERY serious infraction to overcharge. I believe it costs them like $35 fine last time i checked.
