I submitted disputes for myself and my husband on 2/26. One week later, none of these disputes are reflected on our credit report. Anyone else having any problems with CSC's new online dispute function?
Last Sunday night I tried an online dispute on CSC's websight. After I typed all the info and clicked submit and nothing happened, I realized that I didnt have a leg to stand on that I even sent that dispute, no proof, nothing. Maybe I'm just paranoid but my trust factor with the CRA's is very slim. So the next day on Monday I drafted a dispute letter and sent it to them CRRR. I have a few things that I'm trying to accomplish within a couple of months and cant afford to waist 30 days. I can just hear them now, "Duh... we never received an online dispute for those items." Sorry I'm not trying to preach. EXP and TU's online dispute option atleast gives you some kind of confirmation, but CSC's online dispute sucks.
Just about everything to do with CSC sucks. They are miraculously able to verify any and all incorrect information. Good luck with your disputes. They completey ignored mine until I went to Equifax. Then they were able to "electronically verify" everything.
What is the web address to get to the online disputing for CSC? I went to equifax to dispute online and it told me that my area is managed by CSC. So I figured I had to do it by mail, since there wasn't a link to do it online for CSC.
I found it.. www.csccredit.com Guess that's what search is for.. Now how effective is their online dispute?
I have been looking at CSC's website today myself and have to say that it totally sucks. I can't figure out either if you can view your report online with them. It keeps referring you to Equifax's Credit Watch. I have 2 original CR from both EQ and CSC, both have different information. So how can I dispute whats on EQ's report that doesn't show up on CSC's? It's aggrivating as hell. Here's the link to dispute online, with CSC: Under the heading "Inaccurate Information on your credit report?" http://www.csc.com/solutions/creditservices/offerings/890.shtml
tcc1013, Do you mean that they electronically verified that they DID receive your disputes? Or that they verified the items that you disputed? I already have a deep burning hatred for these idiots after I called them to have a bogus address removed from my CR. They dispalyed very little brains to me. I have a feeling that dealing with CSC is going to be like pulling teeth.....very painful
I think its interesting how they have you enter your SSN one single digit per blank on the form. What a bunch of yahoos.
I agree with all of you! If you have to use CSC, you are at a disadvantage. That is a fact. They suck in every way possible. Actually that is the very reason why I submitted my dispute online! It has been my experience that everything about CSC is a low grade, cheap imitation of the real thing--their reporting is antiquated, their system is outdated, their reps are clueless, until recently they didn't even have a website. When I first learned about the website, I submitted a dispute day 1. I truly believed that it was not going to work properly. Because I was so skeptical, I screen printed both my dispute as well as the next screen that says "Dispute Received Successfully, we will be investigating for 30 days blah blah blah." The internet puts a date and time at the bottom of the screen prints. I am going to push this issue as far as I have to to get those items deleted. Does anyone believe that it is an accident that you don't get a "receipt" for your dispute? Works to their advantage I'd say.
I told y'all what happened on hubbys report...they had an employee that kept verifying stuff that was impossible to verify. We had written docs, everything. Even the ca's backed us up on it. So, needless to say, there is a reason that things are mysteriously verified. Left a message for legal dept to call us back and they actually did so in less than 5 minutes. They were great. Even they agreed that the item should be deleted. We had been trying for months to get it off the report, but some yahoo kept hitting the "verified" key or something. My suggestion is to contact legal dept if there is something that keeps getting verified that should not. csc did not do dispute for me and when I complained about it, they mysteriously put it into dispute all of a sudden. My letter stated specifically that it was not a request to dispute, but they did it anyways. They arent the brightest bunch and seem to think that by saying oops, they can cover their mistakes. For those of you who have disputed online, keep all of your paperwork. It may be a prob with their site they may not be aware of. Use it to your advantage to rack up violations and gain leverage for deletion.
