Requested validation from providian, and merrick bank and both sent me a letter verifying that they had my address and social security (no s*** sherrlock). I don't believe this is proper validation and have read thru the threads/past post. Could use a little help with what to do next.
Only debt collectors have to provide validation according to the FDCPA. Providian and Merrick are original creditors, therefore not subject to this law.
