I got a letter on Saturday dated May 19, 2004 saying this was an attempt to collect a debt for Providian. Many of you may remember that I contacted them within the 30 days of the original letter requesting validation of the charges and letters got crossed in the mail (which they contacted me a second time). I got a letter back that didn't validate anything. This letter makes the third contact from them over this debt. This third letter says your balance is 1700 + some change and they want me to contact them through the letter with a good faith of how much I am willing to pay monthly to close the account. suggestions, links, comments? mons
