Hi I am new to this board, I am looking forward to being a member. I have a question I hope someone can help me with. I've been doing some credit repair. All I have left is a mortgage that is settled, and will drop off my credit report in one year, and a $200 medical bill that went to collections, but is unpaid. That's the one I want to ask about. How should I go about clearing it up? Should I offer to pay in full and request they remove it from my credit report? If so, do I ask the CA, or the hospital? Any help is appreciated, TYIA

    Hiya Flygirl.

    Welcome to the board.

Sometimes weekends are very slow. You're not being ignored. Only us weirdo's are up this late. lol

Is there a reason your ins. didn't pay it? Or did you have it?

    :)

You would negotiate the pay for deletion with whomever is reporting it.

I just was popping in to say that only 50% of the Creditnet users think you are a wierdo, Butch.
The other 50% think YOU ROCK!

    *LOL*

    P.S. Butch

The medical bill wasn't covered because I hadn't met my deductible for my insurance for that year, and I didn't have the money. I have the money now, and I want to clear it up, its the only derog I have on my CR besides my old mortgage which was paid as agreed.
