Ok, please forgive me if I sound pissed off in advance, because I am. I need to find a FCRA/FDCPA attorney in NC. I know about the NACA site----------it's useless to me-only two attorneys listed and one is lemon laws only the other will only take bankruptcy cases. I need a NAME please if anyone can help.

Instead of answering his/her question, which I can not do as I do NOT believe he/she will find a lawyer to help, I will for "Angry"'s information, and for anyone else reading ths thread explain WHY I suggested pro-se. It is expensive to file suit on FDCPA & FCRA violations. Lawyers are awarded Court costs and legal fees when they win. HOWEVER, unless there are proveable BIG $$$ damages/injuries from the violations, WITH A GOOD PAPER TRAIL the legal fees are minimal and will not even cover their expenses.So, the only cases a lawyer will take on a contingency basis, other than a really egregious violation that could be the basis of a class action suit, are those that have PROVEABLE financial damages. Everyone else, filing for the $1,000 fines for violations needs-must go pro-se.

You didn't look at is the dates the last few posts were made either. Everybody had forgotten about this thread until lbrown59 bumped it with his comments after everybody else forgot about it. brown does that all the time in order to be sure he stays on top of the list of most active posters. Shanyl probably didn't realize that either so he posted in sympathy with brown. Now your comment helps fan the anger a little more. This thread was headed for the back 40 never to be seen or heard from again until lbrown bumped it in order to bump up his posting score yet another notch. Too bad you didn't stop to analyze the situation before you got angry again but that's understandable too since you've only posted 3 times on this board. You couldnt be expected to understand why it got brought up all over again. Lets just hope nobody else fans this thread anymore and it soon fades back into history.
